GeoHealth Innovations delivered a presentation at the quarterly meeting of the Virginia Asthma Coalition (VAC) in Richmond. The mission of the VAC (virginiaasthmacoalition.org) is to enhance the quality of life for Virginians with asthma. Steve Sedlock, founder and executive director of GeoHealth Innovations, and Beth Manghi, data analyst and project manager at GeoHealth Innovations, presented on “Geospatial Analysis of Outpatient and Inpatient Asthma Incidence in Virginia: An Overview Using Health Outcome Data”. GeoHealth Innovations and the Virginia Department of Health conducted the first-ever cluster analysis of asthma outcome data in Virginia, and applied additional geospatial analysis tools to focus areas in the Tidewater and Southwest Virginia regions.
